Tradescantia, also known as the Inch Plant, is a fast-growing, easy-care houseplant known for its long trailing vines and vibrant foliage. Its cascading growth makes it ideal for hanging baskets, shelves, or tabletops where the colorful stems can spill gracefully over the edges. Adaptable and resilient, it’s a great choice for both beginner and experienced plant owners.
The versatile leaves range in color from deep green to rich purple, often with striking stripes or shimmering tones that add visual interest. WATERING
When should I water my Tradescantia plant?
To see if your plant needs water, stick your finger about an inch down into the soil. If it feels dry, water. Do not water if the soil feels moist. Unsure? Check again in a few days.
Never mist your foliage. Misting leaves causes fungal issues and disease. The only plants that are okay to mist are ferns and carnivorous plants.

Prefers bright indirect sunlight.
GROWTH
It is a fast-growing vining plant. Prune as needed for size and shape.
SOIL NEEDS
Grows best in moist, well-drained soil.
TEMPERATURE & HUMIDITY
Prefers average indoor temperatures and high humidity. To boost humidity around the plant, place a tray filled with pebbles underneath its saucer or use a humidifier.
FERTILIZING
Fertilize March through October with an all-purpose houseplant food. To help it grow optimally and evenly, occasionally dust the leaves, and rotate the pot by a ¼ turn once a month. Prune only when needed.

According to the ASPCA it is toxic to dogs, cats and horses.

Insufficient light will cause the foliage to fade. Drooping or yellow leaves is often caused by overwatering.
