A MESSAGE TO OUR CUSTOMERS

Due to coronavirus concerns, we have made the very difficult decision to close the Flower & Garden Show.  Read below for more information.

Our 2020 Flower & Garden displays will take you on an epic “Celebration Around the World”, taking cues from iconic festivals worldwide.

Get inspired by gorgeous large-scale gardens in full bloom, in our spacious, open-air greenhouse. Each garden is designed by one of Hicks Nurseries award-winning Landscape designers.

Throughout the last 30 years, we have showcased a myriad of garden styles from English country to Tuscan, tropical to aquatic, organic to recycled, whimsical and everything in between.

Our goal is to inspire you to try something new, to create your own unique garden oasis.

We hope to see you soon!

THE TULIP FESTIVAL

Long celebrated throughout the Netherlands, the Tulip Festival is synonymous with spring. Envision walking through fields of tulips among Dutch windmills and sense the renewal, growth and love that tulips signify.

THE HOLI FESTIVAL

One of the most revered and celebrated festivals in India, the Holi Festival is the festival of color, sometimes referred to the “festival of love”, signifying positivity, happiness, prosperity and friendship. Our Holi garden bursts with colorful flowers and magical lotus floating in pools of water.

THE CARNIVAL OF BRAZIL

Mardi Gras is the last hurrah before the Lenten fast and no celebration is bigger or bolder than the Carnival of Brazil. Join in on the parade, complete with a giant Macaw float and walk through a garden of agave and palms.

CHINESE NEW YEAR

Chinese New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, marks the end of the coldest days. Welcome in the Lunar Year with a dragon winding its way through the Asian garden complete with flowering cherries, azaleas and flowers in vibrant shades of red and yellow.

HAWAIIAN LUAU

The Hawaiian Luau welcomes us to paradise with warm genuine greetings that are a hallmark of Hawaiian hospitality. This garden is a feast for the eyes featuring a plethora of lush tropical flowers amid a sheer waterfall. Mahalo!

DAY OF THE DEAD

Día de los Muertos, the Mexican celebration of loved ones that have passed, welcomes spirits back to the realm of the living. The ofrenda is surrounded with marigolds, agave, cactus varieties and other southwest plants to help guide the spirits back to their place of rest.

FOURTH OF JULY

The Independence Day celebration garden is an All-American tribute. Patriotic colors shine in a garden of red, white, and blue. Hydrangea, geraniums and other summer flowers abound as we get ready to bask in the glow of fireworks from above.

An Update for Our Customers from Stephen Hicks

March 16, 2020

We have been monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation very carefully as things change daily, even hourly. Based on the best available information, and what we feel is best for our customers and staff, we have made the very difficult decision to close Hicks Nurseries effective immediately through Sunday, March 29th.

We will continue to monitor updates from relevant government agencies and will provide updates on our re-opening as this situation evolves.

We care deeply about your health and our community. While there is much uncertainty and fear in the world, know that when this crisis passes, Hicks Nurseries will still be here, as we have been for 167 years.

During this temporary closure we will continue to stay engaged on social media and email. As we get through this crisis together, we stand ready to serve you for all your spring gardening and landscape needs in the safest manner possible.

On behalf of everyone at Hicks Nurseries, stay safe and thank you for your understanding.
