Summer is here! These tips will keep you and your garden happy all season long.

A garden with a variety of plants, including shrubs, ferns, and leafy greens, surrounds a building with stone and siding. A brick pathway runs beside the garden. Theres a small informational plaque on the right side.Create a Beautiful Bouquet
Use everything your garden has to offer such as roses, daylilies, hosta, ferns, etc. It’s best to cut stems in early morning after watering and be sure to place cuttings directly into a vase full of water. Place bouquets on your patio and throughout your home. Bring the outdoors in!

Repel Mosquitoes
Herbs such as citronella and catnip naturally repel mosquitoes when planted near walkways and patios. Garden incense, citronella candles, mosquito dunks and area repellents are also available. For more information about mosquito repellents, click here.

A blue watering can sprinkles water over a vibrant garden filled with colorful flowers, including pink, white, and purple blooms under bright sunlight. As the season changes, its time to prepare and bring plants indoors for winter while maintaining their lush beauty.Remember the H2O!
It’s best to water infrequently and deeply. This encourages a deeper root system, which is healthier for plants. 1″-1½” per week works best for most lawns, vegetable and flower gardens. For more information about how to water, click here.

Fertilize
Fertilize throughout the summer* to encourage bigger blooms and larger yields. We have a great selection of fertilizers in-stock including Miracle-Gro® LiquaFeed® for a quick boost and Espoma® Plant-tone® for natural, slow release feedings. *follow the manufacturer’s directions.
