HOW TO CARE FOR
Jasmine
Jasminum spp.
ABOUT JASMINE
Jasmine is a deciduous vine with clusters of delicate, white flowers that emit a wonderfully sweet aroma.
Add one to your bedroom to purify the air, reduce stress and create a peaceful sleep-inducing ambiance. The plant is often associated with love and beauty, making it a great gift.
WATERING
When should I water my Jasmine?
To see if your plant needs water, stick your finger about an inch down into the soil. If it feels dry, water. If the soil feels moist, do not water. If you are unsure, check again in a few days. Jasmine plants require regular watering.
Never mist your foliage. Misting leaves causes fungal issues and disease. The only plants that are okay to mist are ferns and carnivorous plants.
LIGHT NEEDS
Jasmine grows best in high light/direct sun.
GROWTH
Jasmine heights vary by variety.
SOIL NEEDS
Jasmine prefers moist, well-drained soil.
TEMPERATURE & HUMIDITY
Jasmine thrives in normal room temperatures and like normal to high humidity levels. Move it outdoors in the summer months to encourage growth.
FERTILIZING
If needed, prune your Jasmine plant after flowering. Fertilize March through October with a bloom-boosting plant food.
IS JASMINE PET SAFE?
Jasmine is known to be toxic to dogs, cats, and horses.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If your Jasmine plant begins dropping leaves it might be a sign that the plant is not receiving the right amount of water.
