ABOUT RUBBER PLANT
The Rubber Plant, part of the Ficus family is low-maintenance, durable and adds eye-catching color to any room of your home or office. It is a favorite option in Feng Shui design for its ability to attract wealth, prosperity, and good luck.
The Burgundy Rubber Plant, Ficus elastica ‘Burgundy’, is known for its rich looking dark purple shiny leaves.
The Tienke has stunning variegated green and cream foliage with some reddish-pink tones.
When should I water my Rubber Plant?
To see if your plant needs water, stick your finger about an inch down into the soil. If the feels dry, water. If the soil feels moist, do not water. If you are unsure, check again in a few days.
Never mist your foliage. Misting leaves causes fungal issues and disease. The only plants that are okay to mist are ferns and carnivorous plants.
Rubber Plants thrives in high indirect light.
Rubber Plants typically grow 3-6 ft. tall indoors.
Rubber Plants prefer slightly moist well-drained soil mix.
TEMPERATURE & HUMIDITY
Rubber Plants grow well in regular household temperatures and humidity.
Prune your Rubber Plant anytime it starts to get too large. Be careful of the milky latex substance that may leak out where the cuts have occurred. If you get it on your hands or skin wash with warm water and soap immediately to avoid irritation.
Fertilize March through October with an all-purpose houseplant fertilizer. To help it grow optimally and evenly, occasionally dust the leaves, and rotate the pot by a ¼ turn once a month.

Rubber Plants are toxic to dogs and cats.
