ABOUT KALANCHOE

WATERING
When should I water my Kalanchoe?
Kalanchoe are drought tolerant and should be watered sparingly. To see if your plant needs water, stick your finger about an inch down into the soil. If it feels dry, water. If the soil feels moist, do not water. If you are unsure, check again in a few days.
Never mist your foliage. Misting leaves causes fungal issues and disease. The only plants that are okay to mist are ferns and carnivorous plants.
LIGHT NEEDS
Kalanchoe prefers bright indirect light.
GROWTH
Kalanchoe are slowing growing to 6-18 inches tall and wide.
SOIL NEEDS
Kalanchoe plants grow best in a cactus mix or other sandy well-draining soil.
TEMPERATURE & HUMIDITY
Kalanchoe enjoy the same indoor temperatures and humidity levels that we do.
FERTILIZING
Fertilize Kalanchoe March through October with an all-purpose houseplant food. To help it grow optimally and evenly, occasionally dust the leaves, and rotate the pot by a ¼ turn once a month. Prune only when needed.

According to the ASPCA Kalanchoe is toxic to dogs and cats.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Over-watering Kalanchoe can cause root and stem rot. If you see this problem beginning, withhold water until the plant recovers.
