HOW TO CARE FOR
Dieffenbachia is a captivating, low-maintenance houseplant adorned with striking variegated leaves that display a delightful blend of green, cream, and white hues.
Its remarkable adaptability makes it a top-notch selection for effectively purifying the air and contributing to a stress-free, calming environment, promoting relaxation, and enhancing your overall well-being.
When should I water my Dieffenbachia?
Allow Dieffenbachia to dry out completely between waterings. To see if your plant needs water, stick your finger about an inch down into the soil. If it feels dry, water. If the soil feels moist, do not water. If you are unsure, check again in a few days.
Never mist your foliage. Misting leaves causes fungal issues and disease. The only plants that are okay to mist are ferns and carnivorous plants.
Dieffenbachia requires bright indirect sunlight.
Dieffenbachia is fast-growing to 3-6 feet tall.
Dieffenbachia grows best in a fast-draining potting mix.
TEMPERATURE & HUMIDITY
Warm temperatures, from 65 degrees to 75 degrees Fahrenheit, and high humidity are preferred by Dieffenbachia.
Fertilize Dieffenbachia March through October with an all-purpose houseplant food. To help it grow optimally and evenly, occasionally dust the leaves, and rotate the pot by a ¼ turn once a month. Prune only when needed.
ARE DIEFFENBACHIA PET SAFE?
According to the ASPCA Dieffenbachia is toxic to dogs and cats.
Over watering can turn the leaves of a Dieffenbachia plant yellow and cause root rot. Spots on the leaves may indicate a fungal disease.
