When is a Christmas Light Set NOT a Christmas Light Set?
When it’s an LED Light Set!
In the past I have used clear C-9 light sets on the fence in my back yard to light it during the summer. It was an easy way to have a nice amount of light without having spotlights blinding you. Now I use a combination of LED rope lights and C-6 LED lights on my fence and in my evergreens. Not only does it look better but I can use dozens of LED sets for what the cost of electricity would be for one set of C-9 bulbs! I can add dozens of sets end-to-end without having a problem with blowing fuses! All my lights end-to-end on one plug! Well, what’s good for summer is better for Christmas. What makes it better for Christmas? COLOR! My white lights in summer are nice but I have six colors to choose from for decorating now. I also have three size bulbs as well as rope lights to choose from. Did someone say Icicle Lights? Yup, all of my icicle lights end-to-end on one plug! Did someone say Shrub/Net Lights? Yup, all of my shrub lights end-to-end on one plug! LED Christmas lights are quickly becoming the new normal. After decades of the same old mini lights and C7 & C9 lights, a new type of light has been added to the selection of Christmas lights available to you. There are many reasons for you to try LED lights this season. Here are a few. Energy costs. You can save up to 80% on your energy costs with LED lights. Ease of use. You can connect dozens of sets together end-to-end instead of just a few. Durability. LEDs won the durability test, failing to burn out after over 4,000 hours of use. Cooler. These lights do not generate the heat that the standard bulbs do. Price. The cost of these sets has come down significantly in recent years and are now close to the price of standard light sets. When you consider the energy costs, ease of use and durability of LED sets they cost less over the life of the sets. If you need lights for decorating this season please consider using LED lights, you won’t be sorry, and don’t forget to put a few more sets in your shopping cart to use this summer.
