WATERING

When should I water my Rubber Plant?

To see if your plant needs water, stick your finger about an inch down into the soil. If the feels dry, water. Do not water if the soil feels moist, do not water. Unsure? Check again in a few days.

Never mist your foliage. Misting leaves causes fungal issues and disease. The only plants that are okay to mist are ferns and carnivorous plants.

LIGHT NEEDS

Rubber Plants thrives in high indirect light.

GROWTH

Rubber Plants typically grow 3-6 ft. tall indoors.

SOIL NEEDS

Rubber Plants prefer slightly moist well-drained soil mix.

TEMPERATURE & HUMIDITY

Rubber Plants grow well in regular household temperatures and humidity.

FERTILIZING

Prune your Rubber Plant anytime it starts to get too large. Be careful of the milky latex substance that may leak out where the cuts have occurred. If you get it on your hands or skin wash with warm water and soap immediately to avoid irritation.

Fertilize March through October with an all-purpose houseplant fertilizer. To help it grow optimally and evenly, occasionally dust the leaves, and rotate the pot by a ¼ turn once a month.

ARE RUBBER PLANTS PET SAFE?

Rubber Plants are toxic to dogs and cats.

TROUBLESHOOTING
