Aloe is a healing plant often used to treat sunburn and wonderful to have on hand. Since the plant prefers to be watered sparingly, it is a great option for forgetful plant parents.

WATERING

When should I water my Aloe?

Water sparingly. Be careful not to let water collect in the crevices of the plant as it will cause rotting. To see if your plant needs water, stick your finger about an inch down into the soil. If it feels dry, water. If the soil feels moist, do not water. If you are unsure, check again in a few days.

Never mist your foliage. Misting leaves causes fungal issues and disease. The only plants that are okay to mist are ferns and carnivorous plants.

LIGHT NEEDS

Grows best in high light.

GROWTH

How big will it grow? Aloe Delta Lights produce brightly variegated rosettes growing up to one to two feet high and two feet across.

SOIL NEEDS

Requires a well-drained cactus & succulent soil that offers excellent drainage.

TEMPERATURE & HUMIDITY

Aloe Delta Lights is a drought tolerant plant which prefers low humidity.

FERTILIZING

Fertilize with cactus & succulent plant food March through October. To help your plant grow optimally and evenly rotate the pot by a ¼ turn once a month.

IS ALOE DELTA PET SAFE?

According to the ASPCA, it is toxic to pets.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If the plant leaves become mushy you are likely over-watering the plant.
