Now that summer is here, drought tolerant gardening is a wonderful way to cut down watering needs on those long hot days! Some new plants we have this season are the ‘Dazzle Berry’ and ‘Lime Zinger’ sedums which have very colorful foliage year round.
Sedum are succulents that are very tough (nickname ‘live forever’s’) once established in the garden. Sedum mix well with Hens & Chicks as well as native cactus or prickly pear. You can even mix in ornamental grasses for height and movement. Try planting sedum in containers, sunny garden beds and borders.
