Peonies are truly the belles of the ball in the spring border that no garden should be without. We are very excited that we will have 3 types of peonies to offer this year – garden peony, tree peony and Itoh peony.

Garden Peony

Peonies are known for their enormous blooms with delicate frilly petals. Garden peony colors range from pure white to hot magenta, red and every shade of pink in between.   They have a fragrance like no other and are the classic plants for the English country garden.  These beauties have deeply cut foliage that holds up well after blooms fade. Be sure to cut them back in the fall. (Garden Peonies will arrive the beginning of May)

Tree Peony

Tree peony flowers can be even larger than regular peony with a more open form and a wider range of colors. Shades of yellow, purple and red are among the most popular. To hold up these massive flowers, tree peonies have a woody support system that does not require staking or trimming in the fall. (Available Now)

NEW!!!!   Itoh Peonies are Here!

First hybridized by Toichi Itoh in 1948, The Itoh Peonies are a cross between woody tree peonies (Paeonia suffruticosai), and herbaceous or garden peonies (P. lactiflora). These exceptional intersectional hybrids offer the best of both parents: Enormous flowers and foliage like that of a tree peony, with a prolific blooming habit, vigorous growth and stronger stems that hold up the large blooms without staking. Featuring a lush, substantial form during the growing season, the stems die back in the fall and must be cut back just as with the herbaceous peonies.
