Home Gardener's are encouraged to bring their plastic garden pots, cell packs and trays to be recycled at Hicks Nurseries from now until July 15, 2013. The program has kept more than 300 yards of plastic out of landfills since 2009.

Tomato Contest at Hicks Nurseries - 10:00 AM
Entries will be accepted at 10 am on the day of the contest only. Judging begins at 11 am.

Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off - 11:00 AM
Our Annual Pumpkin Weigh-Off will be held on Sunday, October 6th. Judging begins at 11 am. Everyone that has grown a pumpkin – no matter what the size – is encouraged to bring it and show off their growing skills. In addition to awards for the 3 heaviest pumpkins, we will also award prizes to the ‘Rookie of the Year’ and ‘Best Pumpkin Grown by A Child’ (under the age of 15). Contestants who need to have their pumpkins unloaded must be at the nursery no later than 10am.

Bring your carved and decorated pumpkins to Hicks Nurseries for our third annual Pumpkin Carving Contest! Registration begins at 1 pm; judging begins promptly at 2 pm. The winner of each category will receive a $20.00 gift certificate to Hicks Nurseries.
